Oli Study - Weller Horn I

Image
5"x7"        2010           Oil on Canvas Panel Good morning, sorry I'm late, I kind of over slept a little. I would of had this up & on line about 45 minutes ago, but when I went to sign this painting I stuck my hand smack dab in the middle of the flower. No worries though I fixed it :) This really is quite a lovely oil painting, and I think it would make some one a wonderful Valentines gift!! I  painted the flower on this painting pretty thickly. Any way There's my sales pitch on this on, I  hope you like it. If you have any questions please feel free to get a hold of me, either by email, or my phone number is listed toward the bottom of my blog.                                                                                                                                                                                          SOLD    7"x5"        2010        Oil  On Canvas  Panel Sorry It took me so long to post this morning, had to wait for the coffee to get done :)  We have, I don't know how many coffee cups... but this one is my favorite! I really like the colors & brush work in this painting, a lot of which doesn't show up very well here, & the top of the painting I noticed got cut off a little short, there is actually more background space at the top of the painting, maybe 1/2" or so. Anyway I hope you like this one. if you have any questions please feel free to get a hold of me by E-mail or by phone, my number is toward the bottom of  the site. Have a Great Day ! I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks & Best Wishes. Dana Chabino

Blue-Berry Muffin on Blue Willow

Image
5"x7"                       2010                                Oil on Canvas Panel I decided to paint my breakfast this morning, now I can go eat it - not the painting! I really like this one, I thought it turned out really nice, looks almost good enough to eat. I'm sure it will find a good home! And yes it is a store bought muffin, but they are really good ones, I don't have time to bake :) Anyway I hope that you like this one as much as I do. Any questions please feel free to get a hold of me. All this painting has made me hungry, off to eat my muffin. Have a wonderful day! After the Storm -

Image
7"x5"    2010     Oil on canvas panel I apologize for having to take this photo at an angle, but it was the only way I could keep the glare from reflecting back off from the painting. I just finished this a few hours ago, so this painting is still very wet. I was looking to portray a field after a very heavy shower storm, and painted the foreground using a pallet knife which is one of my favorite techniques to use, kind of messy but fun! So there is a great deal of color and texture in the foreground of this painting, even having taken this picture at an angle still doesn't fully depict all the paint build up and colors that are on the actual painting. The good news is I do have other photos available at other angles that I would be happy to send to you, if your interested in owning this one. This really is a neat painting! I hope you have a great day & thanks for taking the time to read this and look at my paintings. If you have any questio

Still Life with Blue Vase

Image
7"X5"          2010                               Oil on canvas panel Blue IS my favorite color, and I've been wanting to paint this rose bud vase for sometime, and I just happened to have this lemon left over from dinner last evening, and decided to put them together in this still life. I really liked the shadows the vase cast in the background, and there are shades of blue shadows in the actual painting that don't really show up here in this photo. I'm posting a picture below of the actual still life below. This photo does not do this painting justice at all. The background and foreground both are much lighter on the original painting. I'm hoping to come up with a better photograph, but this one is the best thus far. I am not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination. Anyway if you're interested in owning this painting I will have other pics available. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may ha

Impression landscape I - Collection the Artist

Image
This is an 11"x14" original oil painting that I did not too long ago, that I thought I would post here for you to see. I am kind of post-poning painting small works possibly through this weekend, so as to better enable me to work on and hopefully finish this larger oil painting I am working on to enter into a show, which the dead-line for entries  is quickly approaching. Anyway my sincerest apologies, I am still painting everyday, just that I will be focusing on this one particular painting which has to get done before the end of this month. I hope you all understand, and I hope you like viewing this painting. Best wishes, Dana Chabino

Clay Fruit Study IV

Image
2010          9" x 6  1/4"       Collection the Artist And this would be the pear that I mentioned yesterday morning. It is also painted on Arches 140 Lb. cold pressed watercolor paper. All of these paintings in this series will mat real nicely in a 5"x7" opening mat and frame even nicer in a 9"x11" frame. OK I've got on more left to do, so I am off to do some painting. If any of you have any ideas or suggestions for a short series, or anything particular that you'd like to see painted and posted on this blog, I would love to hear them! Along with any other questions or comments you may have. Hope you like this one! Email danachabino@gmail.com Thanks for viewing Dana Chabino

"Clay Fruit Study III"

Image
OK Here's the third one in this series, 3 down 2 to go! This one is also done on Arches 140Lb. cold pressed water color paper, and is currently available for purchase, the mat is not included, it's all smudged up anyway. Just a little heads up notice, to to help ease any curiosity you may be experiencing, the last two paintings in this series, one will be a watermelon & the other one a green pear, just not necessarily in that order! Any way I hope that you like this one. Feel free to contact me if have any questions or comments. Have a great day! Best wishes Dana Chabino danachabino@gmail.com

Clay Friut Study I

Image
I am planning on doing a number of small water color studies of this bowl of clay fruit I came across a few weeks ago that I thought were real cool looking, and then turning those studies into a larger painting, and possibly doing an oil panting of them as well. I am planning on only doing a total of  4 or 5 of these small 6"x9" studies. Thanks for looking. Stone Lemon Painting

Image
2010                      6"x9"                                                                I finished painting this about 3:00 this morning so it's still in one of my old smudged up test mats. I personally think this is a really nice painting and would look great hanging in any kitchen, I'm going to hang it in mine though I really doubt it stays in my ownership for very long. As with all of my watercolors, this is done on Arches 140 Lb cold pressed water color paper. Any way let me know what you think of this one. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for taking the time to view this painting. Dana Chabino
